Girl Scouts: Who We Are

Girl Scouts is the world's preeminent organization dedicated solely to girl-all girls-where, in an accepting and nurturing environment, girls build character and skills for success in the real world. In partnership with committed adults, girls develop qualities that will serve them all their lives-like strong values, a social conscience, and conviction about their own potential and self-worth.

In Girl Scouts, girls discover the fun, friendship, and power of girls together. Through the many enriching experiences provided by Girl Scouting, they grow courageous and strong. The Girl Scouts value diversity and inclusiveness and, therefore, do not discriminate on any basis.

Types of Activities for Girl Scouts

Girl Scouts do activities based on girls' interests. Individual girls and troops may do projects, take fiend trips, or participate in events. Girl Scouts Redwood Falls Service Center provides numerous program activities each year some of which are Science Museum events, Council events, Adventure Groups, and GirlSports events. Some of Girl Scouts of the USA's major program initiative include: the arts, the environment, global awareness, health and fitness, literacy, mentoring, and science and technology.
